Success! Giving Week & Giving Tuesday.

I once heard that the most powerful person is the story teller. I’d like to change that statement.

The most powerful person is the donor.

We had a successful Giving Week and Giving Tuesday because of donations made by you! The Maryland Horse Breeders Association graciously agreed to match up to $1,000 of the donations we raised. So we set our goal to raise at least that amount. And we did! All thanks to you! We raised $1,425.60 in donations between Giving Week and Giving Tuesday. With the MHBA contribution, that makes a GRAND TOTAL of $2,425.60!!

We are SO GRATEFUL for our METS partners, volunteers and donors. Because of your support we are able to help horses within Maryland find their happy ending. Thank you!

Save the date! Good Choice Farm Pony Club Riding Center is hosting a tack sale benefitting METS on December 12th from 10am to 3pm!

Join the MDHT in the off season for a fun series of Cross Derbies at Loch Moy Farm. It’s a great way to keep you and your pony in top shape over the colder months. The cross derbies combine show jumps and cross country jumps (plus banks, water and ditches) on over 9 acres of manicured footing. A small portion of each entry will go to METS.

Bold is going to make someone a very happy and very lucky person! He was born in 2008 and is a 16.3hh OTTB gelding. This handsome chap is charismatic, pleasant and a little bit of a joker. He’s the kind of horse that will love and adore his person but only if he picks them himself. He is talented and skilled under saddle, making him a lovely candidate for an intermediate rider to excel at dressage while also enjoying Bold’s favorite activity, trail riding. He has a super level head but of course is still a fun and bright TB. His owner would like to see him go to an active farm where he would have one or maybe two riders routinely working with him. At this point lesson programs will not be considered as it will likely not be the best match for him.
