Sharing Our Success, One Horse at a Time!

The beauty of METS is that we can accept any and all horses, based in MD, that are in need of a home. This means that some of our horses are fit, healthy and ready to jump into a new career. Some are more suited to a companion only life due to limits they may be faced with.

We like to think that there is a perfect home for every horse. We never judge or question the owners that share their horses with us. We simply just support them, and their horse, to find a better spot. We then go on to support their new owner too.

Just over a week ago when assessing one of our new METS horses Shane, we had the chance to catch up and see one of our many METS success stories in person!!!!

Meet Anthony…..

Anthony entered our program in 2018. When he joined us he had some soundness issues and later became diagnosed with EPM. When his current owner went to visit with him and give him a test ride, he was a little tricky and rambunctious under saddle.

She decided that she was up for the challenge and took him home in 2019!

Since then he is completely sound and a very well behaved, solid citizen. He has no issue with EPM any longer and is mostly enjoyed by his teen lease rider. He’s been out and about showing in the hunter and jumper world.

He is loving life and his wonderful personality is shining through.

It’s important to share Anthony’s success story with you because it highlights the magic of what we do. Owners are put at ease by choosing us to help them. New owners are willing and able to give each horse a chance to blossom, or find a soft landing for their golden years, and the horses are continued to be treated like the Kings and Queens they deserve to be treated like.

It’s a privilege and honor to be a part of each horse’s journey through METS.

We can’t wait to share our next success story, and wonder if it will be about your special horse?

The METS Momentum is Traveling
Far and Wide

Over the past week we have traveled just a little over 250 miles around our lovely state of Maryland to assess a vast array of horses!

During that time frame we’ve met so many lovely horses (7 of them to be exact), owners, farms, chickens, goats and a cute donkey named Jack.

Take a look below in the next section to see who is in the spotlight this week. It may or may not be ALL seven New METS horses!!!!!

(Jack the donkey, his Mom and one of our new horses, Pickles)

Romeo

Romeo, O’ Romeo why are you so amazingly perfect? Standing at 15.2hh, this gorgeous, trustworthy boy is a splendid example of the QH breed. He’s looking for a home that will love and enjoy him, take him on trails, ride him as an English/Western Pleasure horse OR to add him to a high-quality lighter lesson program. His owner would consider him going out of state to the right home.

Iggy

Calling all Thoroughbred fans! Iggy is a 2014 lightly raced OTTB standing at 16.2hh tall. This young chap is brave, bright, playful, and not a mean bone in his body. He’s looking for a super-duper person, likely a teen, to take him in any direction they may like. Hacking, hunter paces, ‘possible’ low level eventing, developing his flatwork, having a bunch of fun and all that good stuff.

Pickles

Pickles, with a name like that, what’s not to love? This beautifully kind chap is a 15.2hh Thoroughbred. He has the most pleasant disposition and calmness about him. Such a joy to spend time with and one of those horses you immediately fall in love with.
He is looking for a perfect home and person, to give him a place to become a welcomed and enjoyed companion horse. He is very easy going but has that lovely brightness and intelligence that TB’s bring with them.
This guy has way more to offer than just being a beautiful lawn ornament. He loves children and all people alike. His current owner would be thrilled to see him go to a home that adores him as much as she and her family does.
