Additional Information

Bishop, registered with the Jockey Club as That’s Our Vernon, is a handsome 2002, 16.3h Thoroughbred gelding. He last raced in 2005 and ended his career with $6,000 in earnings. His current owner purchased him in 2008 and they spent their years together showing hunter/jumper, winning many ribbons. Most recently, Bishop has been ridden on the trail. He does well alone or with a group. If he does spook, it’s in place, and he prefers to follow if with other horses. Due to life changes, his owner wants to rehome him to someone who will have more time to spend with him. Bishop is healthy and sound, and would make a great trail/pleasure horse or even dabble in some shows. He’d do best in a home with an intermediate or above handler and rider who could work with him at least 3-4 days per week. Bishop does crib. He is due for shots and Coggins, which his owners are willing to do prior to placement. He is UTD on farrier and deworming, and will need his teeth floated soon. His owners would prefer that Bishop be routinely kept in a stall half day, but would be willing to consider full turnout with the perfect home. He gets along well with laid back geldings.
