Additional Information

King Oro (“Oro”) is a sweet 15.2h, 1996 registered Thoroughbred gelding seeking a home as a pleasure horse for an intermediate rider. Last raced in 2005, Oro won over $56,000 with 64 starts. After retiring from racing, Oro was shown over 2’6″ fences. His current owner, who has had him for the past 5 years, has ridden him mainly as a pleasure/trail horse. He’d be best suited for an intermediate rider with a strong leg and light contact through the reins, looking to simply pleasure ride around the ring. Oro has been ridden bitless in the past and may do well with that moving forward. He is definitely a “more whoa than go”-type horse. He requires a lot of leg to get and keep him going, and takes no effort at all to slow down! Oro would do best as a pleasure horse for easy hacks around the ring. He can sit for months and be the same horse when you get back on. This boy ties, bathes, loads, stalls, stands for the vet and farrier, and gets along well with other geldings. Oro is UTD on everything and ready to move on to his new home, so inquire about him today!
