Additional Information

Isabelle (“Izzy”) is a 2004, 16.2h Tennessee Walking Horse mare. After multiple rounds of treatment for EPM and Lyme, she’s looking for a companion home where she can relax and recuperate. Izzy is not a mareish mare, but she rules the herd at her current home. She’s excellent for the farrier (she’s barefoot), vet, and dentist. When she was sound for riding, she was a staunch trail horse, with nothing causing her to misstep. Her neurologic issues mean that she can’t be ridden out anymore, but we’re hoping someone is looking for a sweet, firm mare to be a companion!

Update Jan. 2021: Izzy’s owner has started her back under saddle for light trail work and has not seen any symptoms of EPM relapse. According to her owner, this reintroduction of work has changed Izzy’s demeanor for the better; she likes to have a job! She continues to be UTD on farrier work, dental, and deworming.
