Additional Information

Meet Houston, lovingly known as Huey, a ~1994, 14.1 1/2h Quarter Horse gelding seeking a home as a companion or trail horse for light riding (walk/trot). Houston is a gem of a senior horse, wise beyond his years would be a good description of him. He has been there and done that when it comes to trails and being ridden. Prior to his current owner, Houston was a lesson horse and then used primarily for trail riding. His owners say that he is pretty much unflappable on the trail and suitable for beginners. He prefers a slower pace and would be best suited for lighter riding so he can continue to enjoy more miles on the trail in the years to come. Huey could also be used for pleasure riding in a ring. He is trained English and Western, stands for the vet and farrier, ties, bathes, and is good in stalls. Between he and his current buddy (Bling Bling, also available), he is the more submissive of the two. He has no issues with chewing hay, is barefoot, and UTD on all shots and deworming. Huey would make a great pony for a beginner rider, perhaps a child or light adult rider just starting off and needing a steady steed to show them the ropes. He’d also make a great therapy horse or companion for another equine friend. If you feel you could give this mellow guy a place to call home in his golden years, be sure to inquire about him today!
