Ebony Jade (“Jade”) is a 1998, 16.3hh Thoroughbred mare. She’s registered with the Jockey Club, but she never raced. After a solid career in eventing and having a baby, she was injured in the field and forced into retirement. She’s not sound for riding, but her vet has deemed her pasture sound. She loves people, and she’s willing to do whatever she needs to for peppermints! She loves to be groomed, is excellent for the vet and farrier, and is up to date on all shots. If you’re looking for a mare to mother some young horses and keep a level head in the herd, this is your gal! She’s head mare, but she’s subtle and kind about it. She’s been known to get all her charges into the run-in during rainstorms, and she even kept her whole herd safe when a fence in her pasture was broken: she kept them all down the other end of the field until her human fixed the fence! Please contact us if you can offer this gal a place in your herd!
