Meet your new teddy bear! Diego, a 2006 14.2hh Mustang gelding, has enough chill for everyone. His calm demeanor doesn’t mean that he’s indifferent, though. He is an excellent guard horse, staying alert so the farm can be safe. Diego started off life on the plains before he was brought in as part of a BLM training program at a Utah prison. At three years old, he came to Maryland and was trained as a roping horse. His favorite things are to, first, eat and, second, trail ride. This easy keeper is good out on the trails by himself, though he prefers to go out with friends. He’ll be UTD on all vaccinations, Coggins, dental, etc., before the move to his new home. He self-loads onto a stock trailer, is patient for the farrier and dentist, and is great around kids! Diego needs a dry lot or poor pasture to maintain a healthy weight. Diego is currently ridden in a hackamore and western tack. He would do best with an intermediate rider. Contact us today to add this equine piece of American history to your herd!
