Calancha, lovingly nicknamed Lilly, is a 1997, 16.1h registered Thoroughbred mare looking for a new home. Don’t let this mare’s age fool you. This mare still has a lot of pep in her step and would do well with a job. Lilly has been with her owner for seven years. Before her current home, she was raced and used as a broodmare. She last raced in 2002 with a career earning of $5,340. After racing, she had a few foals before being taken in by her current owner. Lilly is green under saddle at the walk/trot/canter. She’d be best suited for an experienced rider with training experience or one with a trainer. She can be a bit lazy in the ring at the walk/trot but would probably be more forward outside of the ring. If you’re looking for a project horse, consider giving Lilly a home. Help us prove that you can still train an old horse to a new job!
Lilly is UTD on everything and will go to a new home with a negative Coggins. If in work, Lilly does require front shoes. She is good in a stall, good for needles and deworming, and behaves with both mares and geldings.
