Bit of Bey (“Habibi”) is a 2006, 16.1hh Arab/Breton cross gelding who is registered with the Arabian Horse Association. While he can be nervous off property (as evidenced in the attached video), his owner assures us that he is calm and quiet at home. His breeding is reflected in his big personality: one day, you’ll have a dramatic Arab and the next, a steadfast draft! Habibi would do best with a calm, confident handler and rider. He would be best suited to an intermediate rider or someone working closely with a trainer. He’s had some training in dressage, and he’s been out on the trail alone and in groups (which he prefers). He clips, is good for the farrier and vet, and is an easy keeper. Habibi is up to date on all vaccinations, and he requires minor maintenance for arthritic changes, which can present as stiffness that he works out of. He would do best in turnout with other geldings where he can be a head horse; mares can get him a bit excited. This big guy has a personality to match, and he’s looking for a new place to call home! Let us know if he might be the right guy for you!
